The sculpture holds that quartering walk, head low, body coiled but unhurried, a cat working a scent trail rather than closing on prey. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere's a personal detail behind the piece that adds to it. The leopard was Olive's adult son, a cat Bryant had followed since he was a cub through the television series Big Cat Diary. Watching him fully grown and still moving through the landscape she remembered from the programme made the encounter, in her words, a very special one. Leopards are solitary and hard to track for long, so thirty uninterrupted minutes with a known individual is rare, even for an experienced wildlife artist. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe resin sculpture measures 85 cm long, the largest of the collection's resin pieces, and gives the leopard's low, stretched-out gait plenty of room to read clearly.
