Sun, Soil, Sea, Sauvignon Blanc
Join us at Benguela Cove Wine Estate for Cellar Stories Episode 1
Each special vineyard parcel is diarised throughout its growing season, vinification and maturation until its time of release. Join us on 29 March 2025 for our first intimate series of “Stories from the Cellar” and be captivated by our tales. Tickets are R350 per person for the tasting only.
Sauvignon Blanc, the Wild Vine
Our theme for the first series is Sauvignon Blanc. Fun Fact, “Sauvignon” is derived from two French words: Sauvage (“wild”) and vigne (“vine”). Sauvignon Blanc is a vigorous (wild) growing plant, and the shape of its leaves are similar to those of wild grapevines.
This is your opportunity to discover how we tame this wild vine of ours. The line-up includes:
Cuvée58, a Sauvignon Blanc based Cap Classique
Benguela Cove Noble Late Harvest 2020, a precious sold-out wine. Listen closely for a cellar secret of a possible 2025 vintage.
You might be spoiled by our 2025 young wines for interest and twist the arm of our wine team to open an older vintage from the library.
