Lagoon-front plots for sale, Walker Bay
Nine plots sit along the northern shore of the lagoon and one on the southern, and every one of them meets the water directly.
You will find wine estates in the Cape with mountain views, and coastal estates with the sea visible from an upper floor. Benguela Cove is the only wine estate in South Africa with its own lagoon frontage, a private jetty and a slipway, and the open ocean beyond them. Val de Vie, Pearl Valley, De Zalze and Erinvale are all fine estates. None of them is on the water in this way.
What it means day to day is simpler than the description suggests. You can keep a boat in the estate boating garages and launch it from the slipway without loading a trailer. You can swim, paddle and sail from your own shoreline. And you look out over open water rather than over another house, which is the part that never wears off.
The northern shore
Nine plots, between 1,517 and 1,706 square metres, facing the water across the widest part of the lagoon. This is the most sought-after run of land on the estate, and it is where the two premium positions sit: Plot 86 and Plot 92, both held at their established prices because of their particular aspect.
The southern shore
A single plot, 174, at 1,801 square metres. It gives you the same direct relationship with the water from the opposite bank, with a different light through the day and a quieter outlook back across the lagoon towards the vineyards.
