Own a Piece of Benguela Cove

A lagoon-front wine estate in Walker Bay. Plots available across five Collections.

Property Sales

Benguela Cove sits on 200 hectares between the R43 and Walker Bay. Over the last twenty years it has become a working wine estate, a community of homeowners, and a private sanctuary on one of South Africa's most striking stretches of coast.  Ownership here is organised into five Collections, each offering a different relationship to the land. Plots are available in each. The right plot is the one that matches how you want to live, not the one that happens to be next on a list.

Architectural framework

All homes at Benguela Cove are designed within an architectural framework that keeps the estate visually coherent without dictating personal taste. Owners work with architects of their choosing, subject to review by our Architectural Committee. Build is expected to commence within 36 months of transfer. The framework is light enough to allow real personal expression and firm enough to protect everyone's investment in the estate's appearance.

A way of life

At Benguela Cove, ownership is the start of a long relationship with a particular place.  A working wine estate. Award-winning, internationally recognised, with cellars and a winery in continuous use. Owners receive up to 72 bottles a year and are welcome at every harvest and tasting.  A community of homeowners. Small, settled, and protected. A gated estate with 24/7 security and the rhythms of a real neighbourhood, not a resort.  A landscape that looks after itself, with help. WWF Conservation Champion, Travel life sustainability certified, sited within the UNESCO Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve.  Owners enjoy the lagoon-front jetty, slipway and boating garages, Moody Lagoon Restaurant and the Tasting Room, the 11km walking and cycling track, swimming pool, tennis, basketball, boule, and the freedom to bring their dogs.
