The Heritage Table Menu 

On Heritage Day 2026, Moody Lagoon steps away from the braai and sets a different kind of table. The Heritage Table is a family-style tasting menu built from the dishes that define South African heritage: bobotie, a slow-braised lamb and vegetable potjie, and Cape Malay chicken curry, with yellow rice, chakalaka, pap and a heritage green salad. Malva pudding and melktert to finish. 

Each dish is introduced at the table, with its story. Add the estate wine pairing and let the rest of the afternoon take care of itself. 

Bring the family and make a day of it. While the Heritage Table is served, the splash pad waterpark, Pirate Adventure Golf and the estate grounds are open. Children can share the same menu on a smaller plate.
