One of the most popular stories about the history of sabrage dates back to as early as the 1700’s. One of the many mysterious legends states that the start of sabrage was originally attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte’s cavalry who would celebrate military victories by taking their sword to the champagne bottle. Today, the dramatic and impressive art of sabrage lives on. We are offering this as a unique experience at the estate.
