While our award-winning wines often take centre stage, our olive orchards are the quiet heroes of the estate. On Saturday, 30 May 2026, we are inviting you to discover them through our exclusive Olive Oil Lunch Experience.
Where the Grove Meets the Cellar
Set on the edge of the Bot River Lagoon near Hermanus, Benguela Cove is a world-class wine and lifestyle destination. However, what many guests don't realise is that the estate is also home to its own liquid gold. Across 10 hectares of groves, we produce a delicious olive oil whose character is drawn directly from the estate's terroir.
This event offers a unique behind-the-scenes viticulture tour and tasting, exploring how our three cultivars—Frantoio, Leccino, and Coratina—are carefully blended to create a uniquely flavoured oil suitable for both salads and cooking.
An Experience That Changes Your Pantry
Most people know that a bold Syrah pairs beautifully with red meat—but have you ever considered how a robust, peppery oil can elevate the tannins in a Pinot Noir?
To answer these questions, you will learn about olive cultivation with Jaco Mouton, our resident expert. The journey includes:
