About the Wine of the Month, Benguela Cove Pinot Noir 

Grapes were handpicked at optimal potential, followed by a bunch and berry sorting. After alcoholic fermentation, it was pressed, settled, and transferred to the barrel for malolactic fermentation where it was kept until prior to bottling. Pair it with Aubergine lasagne or White chocolate truffles. The pairing does not end there, this delightful wine allows you to be creative and imaginative for your next Vino journey.  

Over the years, this wine has accrued accolades in a variety of award contests. It was recognized as one of the top five Pinot Noir wines in South Africa by Mosaic in 2021. It also won accolades from the Novare SA Terroir Awards in 2022, and the most prestigious honour yet was the Platte's 4.5-star rating with 91 points. While it's made in a style to enjoy now the 2021 vintage will age gracefully to show even more varietal charm in years to come. Cellaring this wine will give you more appreciation as the wine evolves with time.
